Recent Competition Highlights
2010 Congrats to Steph and Nimbus on first place in the Pre-Training DIV at the MREC OCT 2 Phase. Iona and Charlie were 3rd in the Entry, Ani and Margaret 3rd in Pre-Entry and 1st in Entry (Ani's first time showing 2'9!). Congrats all, looking fwd to a great season in 2011! Congrats to Stephanie and Nimbus on their 2nd place finish in the 3'0 open stakes class at Aug MREC Dog Days of Summer, great first show you two! 2008 Congrats to Nimbus for winning both his events this year at Training Level, which places him 2nd in the overall provincial standings for the year. 2007 Java and Jessica tackled their first Pre-Entry HT together at Island 22 September Horse Trials. Java had some beautiful moments in the dressage, and jumped well over a very difficult stadium round. He was a rockstar Cross Country as always. Looking foreward to 2008! Nimbus finished up his 2007 season at Avalon August Horse Trials with a brilliant dressage test, only finishing in second due to a rider momentary memory loss! He followed that up with a phenomenal cross country, jumping boldly and galloping strongly over some very difficult questions, includung a skinny one stride into the first water early on course, his first real corner in competition, and a very difficult, bendy line out of the second water. It never ceases to amaze me the trust these horses give us and the things a good partnership can achieve. Unfrotuately the rock hard ground took its toll and Nimbus came off xc slightly sore, accounting for one rail in the stadium the next day. Nimbus will have the rest of the season off, with plans to start next season at Mt. Cheam in April. Jessica and Java and Brooke and Grace completed their first event at Avalon, competing in the Starter Division. Both jumped double clears, and were 1st and 2nd closest to optimum time on cross country. Congrats Girls! Nimbus has just completed his first two Preliminary events, with excellent showings at both. Java did his very first event at June 07 MREC, winning the Entry Divison. 2006 Congrats to Kim and Virgil on a fantastic showing at their first show in June, winning the training level dressage and placing 2nd to Nimbus in the first level test. Nimbus had a great first season at Training level, finishing off the season as the provincial senior champ, with only one placing below 3rd, entirely Margaret's faut in the dressage! Nimbus also tackled his first dressage show this spring, winning the overall high point and his freestyle. Congrats to Staphanie and Apollo on completing their very first Pre-Training competition, finishing on their dressage score. Congrats to Cassidy on Asha and Jessica on Grace for completing their first event ever at Avalon in September, finishing with no jumping penalties and making thier cross country debut in very soggy footing, getting home safe and sound.
